For our plant located in Katerini we are currently looking for a Mechanical, or Electrical or Automation engineer to work as Assistant Machine Operator.
- SCOPE
Assist in the management of paper mill production process while conforming to quality and environmental standards in compliance with the working instructions, the safety guide line, product’s safety and ISO 9001 standards.
- MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Visually check the paper machine & carry out the opportune actions to keep the best effectiveness
- Verify the control parameters and act on the optimization of the paper mill production process
- Assist in the control and regulation of process parameters to ensure adherence to paper specification
- Support the Paper Machine Leader in the overseeing of process operation of the conveyors, stock preparation and effluent areas
- Record process data in the machine book and company data system
- Be familiar with the location and functioning of all major paper mill equipment (stock preparation, paper machine, ventilation systems, rewinder and roll handling)
- Carry out blades and machine clothing changes minimizing down time
- Assist in the startup of the paper machine and ancillary systems after a short or extended stoppage
- Perform an emergency plant shutdown in a safe way
- In case of temporary absence of the Paper Machine Leader, manage the paper mill production process
- Identify relevant pulp types and know the technical difference between hard and soft woods
- Understand paper quality requirements and specification documentation
- Maintain and keep in a good conditions all equipment and tools reporting any fault as soon as possible
- Comply with all defined standards for quality, environment and Health and Safety
- To ensure a high level of housekeeping of the working area is maintained throughout the shift
- To ensure health & safety rules are adhered to
